Matthew 25: Ministries helps 20 million people annually.

For 25 years, Matthew 25: Ministries has been helping the poorest of the poor and disaster victims. Matthew 25 is an international humanitarian aid and disaster relief organization helping million people locally, nationally and internationally every year.

By reusing products donated by corporations, Matthew 25: Ministries provides basic necessities, such as educational materials, medical supplies, construction materials and disaster relief across the United States and worldwide. The nonprofit also supports community development and public works projects in developing countries, which provide sustainable development and capacity building for entire villages and regions. As a nonprofit, Matthew 25 relies on donations, including from corporate entities.

“Most business people would be very surprised to learn that many of the things they are throwing away or disposing of in other ways, because they think there is no more useful life left in these things, would have a tremendous impact to other people around the world. Matthew 25 is the way to get that product into their hands,” says Scott Farmer, The Cintas Corporation CEO.

Matthew 25: Ministries rescues and reuses 15 million pounds of corporate discontinues, misprints, overruns, off-spec, slightly damaged, returned and past season products each year and redistributes them to people in desperate need domestically and internationally. These donations include clothing, medical supplies, personal care items, school supplies, food and beverages, household supplies, cleaning products, re-blended paint and micro-enterprise supplies, helping 20 million people annually.

“Without our generous corporate donors and our more than 50,000 volunteers who process those donations, we would not be able to help as many people as we do,” says Tim Mettey, Matthew 25 CEO.

Donating to a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization like Matthew 25 provides corporations with significant financial benefits, including:

  • Significant tax incentives
  • Decreased warehousing costs
  • Reduced administration and processing expenses
  • Achieving corporate environmental impact goals
  • Meeting corporate product stewardship goals through responsible end of product life cycle disposal
  • Enhancing corporate social responsibility plan
  • Protecting brand image and market share
  • Redirecting use of product in non-strategic markets
  • Enhanced consumer perception

If your company is looking to donate, Matthew 25 makes it convenient and efficient with dock drop off availability five days a week. And you can schedule a Matthew 25 box truck to pick up your donations within 100 miles of Matthew 25’s Cincinnati location. All products are tracked so donations can be monitored through the preparation and distribution process. Also, donations may be eligible for a tax credit of as much as half the mark up for each item donated. Matthew 25 can provide paperwork to donors for internal audit and tax purposes.

With Matthew 25, you don’t have to worry about where your donated products or funds are going. More than 99 percent of Matthew 25: Ministries’ cash and in-kind donations go toward its programs. “Corporate donations provide life-changing and lifesaving help for people in need here in the U.S. and around the world,” says Mettey.
