Aerospace Lubricants to expand operations in Columbus
By Joe Frye
Aerospace Lubricants, a Columbus-based manufacturer of specialty greases for aerospace, automotive and industrial applications, announced plans to expand its production facility in the city, bringing 15 new jobs and strengthening its foothold in advanced manufacturing.
Founded in Columbus in 1973 and operating as an independent subsidiary of AMSOIL Inc., Aerospace Lubricants will invest more than $5 million to modernize and expand its existing facility at 1600 Georgesville Road.
The upgrade will support new mixing, blending and testing capabilities designed to meet growing customer demand in high-temperature applications, including aviation, defense and other industrial markets.
The expansion is expected to retain 37 existing jobs while creating 15 new positions in early 2026, including roles in production, technical operations and quality control. Company President Dave Meyer says the investment will allow the company to add production capacity and continue innovating from its Columbus headquarters. “We’re excited to grow where our company was built and where we’ve found strong partners and a skilled workforce,” he says.
The project is being supported by JobsOhio, the Ohio Department of Development, One Columbus and the City of Columbus as part of a broader effort to grow advanced manufacturing in central Ohio. Economic development officials said the expansion reflects ongoing momentum in the region, where manufacturers are investing in new technologies and facilities to remain competitive.
Local leaders say projects like this help reinforce Columbus’s position as a hub for specialty manufacturing while creating high-quality jobs. Hiring for the new positions is expected to begin in early 2026.
