General Catalyst acquires Summa Health 

Ohio Attorney General Yost approved the $500M acquisition of Akron-based Summa Health by VC firm General Catalyst’s Health Assurance Transformation Co. The deal includes a $550M+ operational investment and 10 years of state oversight to protect the system’s nonprofit mission.

Governors DeWine & Beshear unveil Brent Spence companion Bridge 

Officials announced a $1.6B cable-stayed design for the companion bridge on June 18. Part of an 8-mile corridor rebuild, it will enhance freight flow, pedestrian access and interstate connectivity.

Maple Manufacturing opens in Yorkville 

Maple Manufacturing, backed by JobsOhio and Ohio Southeast Economic Development, will set up operations in Yorkville, creating 35 new jobs in the region.

Senate Bill 1 becomes law June 27
