First Quality Home Care Products LLC announced recently that it has made its second major investment in the Northwestern region of Ohio. The company will open a new facility in Archbold, Ohio, which is projected to begin operations in 2028. The capital investment of this project is $300 million, with a commitment of 400 jobs.
First Quality Home Care Products LLC is a family-owned business that was founded over 35 years ago. The company began as a manufacturer of adult incontinence products sold to hospitals and has since expanded its product portfolio to include baby diapers, wipes, feminine hygiene, incontinence and household products as well as printing and packaging manufacturing. Since its beginning, the company has become a leader in health care and retail across the United States.
This new project is meant to support the growth of the company’s home care division. The company previously opened a facility in Archbold, Ohio, where they found a skilled workforce and an environment that fostered growth and success for manufacturers.
“Our investment in Northwest Ohio reflects our continued commitment to the people and communities of this region. We are grateful to our local partners for their collaboration and support as we continue to grow our U.S. operations,” says Jim Dodge, First Quality chief financial officer.
This expansion follows the First Quality’s acquisition of Henkel’s Retailer Brands business in North America, which added laundry detergents, dishwashing detergents and fabric finishers to the company’s consumer product portfolio.
“The addition of a new Home Care Products location in Northwest Ohio represents a crucial step in building the long-term foundation for this division. Beyond increasing our capacity, this site will strengthen our ability to scale efficiently, innovate faster and deliver the value customers expect from First Quality,” Dodge says.
Likewise, the expansion will help First Quality with its “people-first approach” when it comes to innovation. This approach sets them apart and helps them create products and programs meant to make a difference in people’s lives, according to the company. This materializes in First Quality’s commitment to several community outreach projects and programs and has partnered with several charities such as Habitat for Humanity, Cradles to Crayons, American Red Cross, United Way and Meals on Wheels America.
