More of the 2025 Ohio 500
By The Editors
Who are the most powerful and influential people in Ohio? There are many, to be sure, but who are the men and women who are truly working to make our state great?
In this fourth annual feature, we decided to answer that very question. We asked our readers to fill out an online survey, spoke with our partners, reached out to community leaders and did our own research to create the 2025 Ohio 500.
Below, read profiles on a handful of our 2025 winners and view the full list in the print and digital publications of our winter 2025 issue.

Education: Youngstown State University Williamson College of Business, BSBA
Someone You Admire: I admire the people that work tirelessly to do good things for our community. We’ve got a long list of great leaders in the Youngstown region who are working hard every day to make our community a better place.
Proudest Moment: My proudest professional moment was in 2022 when our firm was recognized as the No. 1 accounting firm in the country for women to work at published by Accounting Today. We’ve worked tirelessly to create a professional service firm that sets a new standard of workplace culture and I’m very proud of what we’re continuing to build.
Something About Ohio You Love: The community in Ohio is something special. I’ve traveled all over the United States and have not seen the same sense of community as we have here in Ohio, specifically the Greater Youngstown region.
Jeni Al Bahrani
Visiting Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship
Miami University Farmer School of Business
SW Ohio
Education: Northern Kentucky University, EdD Educational Leadership; Trinity College Dublin, MSc Entrepreneurship and Innovation; Thomas More College, BA Business Administration
Someone You Admire: I deeply admire my students, especially those who take bold steps into entrepreneurship with no safety net. Their courage inspires my mission to create inclusive and accessible programs.
Something Surprising About You: I’ve been vegan for 17 years, and I ran the Flying Pig and Queen Bee on plants! Additionally, before entering higher education, I founded a wellness brand and led community fitness initiatives in Cincinnati, such as Fit in the City at Smale Park and Findlay Fit at Findlay Market.
Hobby/Passion: Mentorship and vegan baking are my favorite outlets—whether I’m coaching women founders, reviewing student pitch decks or baking for neighbors, I’m fueled by connection and purpose. I also just started learning Arabic to better connect with family in Oman.
